Raglan cardigan

Hello,
I am making a Raglan cardigan and I have got to the left front,

Continue in st st, dec 1 st at raglan edge every row 6 times, every other row 13 times, AT THE SAME TIME, when raglan measures 9 1/2 inches end with a RS row.

Please help! I can’t work it out

Decrease at the raglan edge in rows 1,2,3,4,5,6. Then decrease every other row, rows 8,10,12,14,16,etc for 13 rows.

Thank you! But why does it say At the same time?

I might be wrong but I think the ‘at the same time’ is referring to the whole 9 1/2 inches.

So I think of it like, work until the piece is 9 1/2 inches

And at the same time while doing that…(as salmonmac post)

Yes, Red_Kite is correct. You’ll often see these directions in patterns. It’s very important to take note of them (that’s why they are in caps). It’ll save a lot of frogging.

In this pattern while you’re doing the raglan decreases, keep measuring the length so that when it gets to 9.5" you can also work whatever directions follow.
