:slight_smile: Can someone explain how i get to 9 stiches remaining on this pattern please? Iv done 3rd row now on… Decrease 1 stich at raglan edge as before!

I started with 32 sts as at beginning of pattern, then did the increase x1 sts =33 then cast off 3 then did 3rd row cast off 2!
Im left with 28 sts now on kneedle & im stuck after this?

These kind of directions are often confusing. It may be easier to make a table with columns for the neck decreases and raglan decreases. Then you can check them off as you work them.
For the raglan edge decrease on rows 3 (this you’ve already done), 5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19,21,23,25,27,29 and 31.
For the neck edge decreases decrease on rows 3 (this you’ve already done), 5,7 and then 11,15,19,23 and 27.
The placement of the decreases is as in row 3.

This does make sense, but the issue
confusing me is … I casted on 32 to start then increase by 1 =33 then start raglan/ neck decrease so cast off 3 pattern says.
Then purl a row then on the 3rd row decrease 2 sts which is -5 =28?
So iv got 28 sts on needle? How do i get to an odd number if now casting off 2 sts on alt row?

You’re decreasing 2 sts on some of the rows (for example rows 5,7,11 and 15) but at one point the decreases continue on the raglan edge only. On those rows there will only be one stitch decreased.
There’s a total of 23sts decreased so including the 3rd row that’s a difference of 23sts or 30-23=7 sts remaining.
