Quick Sweater Question

I am knitting a sweater for my husband, who happens to have a long torso… the max length in the pattern calls for knitting up 17 inches before starting the armholes… I would feel better adding another two inches so that the bottom is not riding up his stomach all the time. Would this be OK? I can’t see a real problem since it’s the bottom part of the sweater, but I honestly don’t know much about patterns

This is the pattern BTW.

There isn’t any shaping so you can make it as long as you want before you start the armholes. Nice sweater!

I like that sweater!

The only potential problem is you’ll be using more yarn, but as long as you’ve got extra, there’s no reason not to. One reason to knit your own clothes is that you can make them fit better.
