Quick Question regarding Stitch Pattern

Hi -

I would consider myself an advanced beginner - I am just starting to take on Stitch patterns and I was wondering what this means

[K1 P1 into each stitch]

does this mean that you knit the stitch and then put it back on the LH needle and purl it? or do you purl it on the RH needle?

Thanks!

Hiya hun,
What that means is that you are “making 1” or increasing into each stitch that it tells you to do that.
So to do that you would knit like normal into that stitch but don’t take it off the left needle. And then purl into the same stitch and THEN take em off the left needle. Thus making two stitches out of one.
Neato huh??
