Question

I’m working on a pattern and i’m suppose to go from garter stitch (kitting only) to stocking stitch (knit, purl, knit). the pattern says, use garter stitch till it measures 4 cm then switch to stocking stitch. is my FIRST row after switching a knit stitch or do i start with a purl stitch?? i hope this makes sense!
:knitting:

Well - garter stitch is the same front and back - so after your 4 cm of garter I would say purl a row, and when you turn you will have two rows of stocking stitch done and will be starting your third. Which is a knit row.

Thank you very much for the advice, Mario. Since I am a newbie I am looking for all the tricks and infos I can get. This forum seems to be a great place for collecting ideas and improving know-how.
