Question slip stitch

Hi All- having trouble understanding a pattern.

It says
“ Next Row (WS): Sl 1, knit to 1 st past gap from previous row, turn.
Next Row (RS): K34 (34, 36, 36, 38). The slipped stitch from the previous row will be unworked.
Rep the last 2 rows until all stitches along the bottom edge have been worked, end on RS.”

So do I just slip the initial slipped and unworked stitch for a second time when I repeat the initial row? And then slip another stitch? And amass a bunch of slipped stitches? I hope my question makes sense.

Here is the link to the pattern:

Thanks!

As I read the pattern, you don’t do anything with the slipped stitch from the previous row. Every WS row begins with an additional slipped stitch. I don’t understand how the subsequent rows work however. I recommend getting in touch with the designer, Amy Palmer and asking for a clarification of your question and of the next several rows.

Reading the pattern is making me as puzzled as the baby in the photo.

If it confuses @salmonmac it’s definitely confusing. I feel better now; I had no clue!
