Hi…looking for some help on my first sweater. I’ve looked everywhere for a more clearer answer, but didn’t find one regarding armhole shaping.
The pattern says: " Bind off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows"
Next row (RS) K2 K2tog: knit to last sts ssk, k2
Next row P2 p2tog purl to last 4 sts p2tog through back
loop p2
Question…Do they want me to BO 5 sts knit to end Purl back and BO on the RS again, or do I BO 5 sts on each side?
Appreciate any help. Thanks!
I’m confused. lol!
:??
You can’t bind off at the end of the row, so you bind off at the beginning of the next two rows. So bind off at the beginning of the row and finish it, then bind off at the beginning of the next row and finish it.
I was trying to understand how I was to BO at the rows end until I referenced my VOGUE Knitting Book. It actually shows the BO method purl wise, so I thought it could be done. lol! That’s why I ended up so confused.
