Question re making a loop

I am knitting a sweater “Cassie” from Junior Knits by Debbie Bliss. I am making a loop and everything makes sense - except the pattern says to pass 2 st on right over made st – and if I do this, I lose 1 stitch and come up short. My solution is to pass only 1 st on right over the made st, but what will be the repercussions? Anyone who can help me with this? I would be very grateful. Thanks,HCD

That’s a decrease, maybe you’re supposed to at that point. Can you tell us what part you’re doing and type in a row or 2 from the pattern?
