It’s a fingerless glove pattern. The pattern says-
Start thumb gusset as follows: P1, inc. in next st., k2, inc. in next st., P1.
K2 rounds even, keeping the P1 sts uniform.
I’m confused. There’s a total of 56 sts.
The row before was stockinette in the round.
- When the pattern tells me to to increase into the next stitch, does that mean I should increase as if to purl or knit?
- After I P1 for the second time, what I am I supposed to do with the rest of the stitches? Knit them or purl them? Or do I repeat the “P1, inc. in next st…” part of the pattern until I end the round?
- What does it mean by “keeping the P1 sts uniform”? Does that mean in the next round I’m supposed to purl them?
