Question on bulky yarn

Hi,

My pattern calls for bulky yarn–it also states to hold 2 strands together–does this mean to hold 2 strands of bulky yarn together? I have worsted wt. yarn, so do I hold 4 strands together? I know 2 strands of worsted wt. makes bulky wt., but I just wondered if I could still use the worsted wt. and double it or whatever? I know this sounds silly, but some of these patterns are confusing.

If it calls for two strands of the bulky together, then that’s what you do.

You can sub 4 strands of the worsted, but check to make sure your gauge is close.

Thanks, that’s what I thought. This is for a felted bag, and I’ve never felted anything before and wanted to be sure since I know this will shrink.
