Question about Tubey and yarn choice

Hi all–this is my first post in this forum, as I am a fairly new knitter. My aunt taught me how to knit when I was 8, but all I got out of that was very long strips of garter stitch. A few months ago, I finally taught myself how to purl, and cabling, and such.

I would like to start Tubey–any reason NOT to use karaoke yarn?

Looooove Karaoke. I made a sweater from it and it’s gorgeous. I haven’t made tubey, though, so I can’t give a definite answer. I think it would be fine, though.
