Question about stockinette stitch

my grandmas wondering how you do a stockinette stitch with 4 double pointed needles.

When you knit in the round stockinette stitch is just knitting. There is no purling necessary.

Note… if you are knitting the “technically correct” way by knitting on the outside of the circle of knitting you will see the knit stitch we think of as stockinette.

If you are knitting on the inside of the circle of knitting so it’s inside out the outside will show purls even though you aren’t knitting them. In some patterns you can just flip it right side out. A pattern with details or other stitches that may not work as well.

thanks , now she understands
