Question about pattern instruction

I think I posted this in the wrong sub forum so am asking here.

In this pattern (link posted below) for the “Easy as Pie” Shawl, under the “Edging” section, after the center stitch in rows 9 and 11, it has yo, *k3 yo sk2p, yo

What does this mean? I have never seen where it has 3 stars in a repeat pattern. Please help, thank you.

Comparing the written directions to the chart it looks like it should be k3 yo sk2p, yo with the second asterisk deleted.

I can’t believe this is stumping me, but I have never been able to “read” a graphic for what stitches to use where; and I’ve happily knit the Easy as Pie shawl but have NO CLUE on how to make the cool edging for this piece!

Does anyone have this converted to a “k1 p2” instruction, by chance? TIA!

The pattern includes written directions for the edging, right after the chart…at least, the one I just downloaded has them at the bottom of Page 3. Did you need more than that?

Really good to hear you have the entire pattern that you need now.
Enjoy your project.
