Question about magic loop socks!

So, i think i understand how to cast on and get started knitting socks using the magic loop method… no problem. But, when i get to the heel part, it kind of looks and sounds really confusing… what do you do after the heel flap is knit? and i also have another question… you can convert any sock pattern to magic loop… correct? thanx! :muah:

When you get to the heel flap you just work on that part of it working back and forth. The other stitches just hang out on the cord until you go to the next part.

also, have you tried googling magic loop?

So, then how do you do the gusset stitches? and then getting back in the round?

There is video on Magic Loop here on this site. When you get to the gusset you’ll just have to organize the needle and stitches so that they’re even again.

Silver’s Sock Class Heel. I was afraid to try the heel at first, but then realized it was pretty easy and a nice change from the mind-numbing stockinette I was doing for 9 in. :teehee:

I actually need instructions for socks that are from the cuff down to the toe rather and toe-down.
