Question About a Part of a Pattern

I got the answer to the bottom of the foot :muah:

Now I need help on some other parts of this pattern. :?? This is the pattern http://aww.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=785155

This is the pattern part I’m wondering about:
SHAPE HEEL: Next row: Cast on 7 sts, knit to end…20 (24) sts.
Knit 1 row (wrong side).
Inc one st at end (toe edge) of next and foll alt rows until there are 26(30) sts.
Knit 1 row (wrong side).

Is this how it would look row to row. I put the increase at the end of the row. Or should it go at the beginning?

SHAPE HEEL: Next row: Cast on 7 sts, knit to end…20 (24) sts.
Knit 1 row (wrong side).
Inc one st at end (toe edge) of next and foll alt rows until there are 26(30) sts.
Knit 1 row (wrong side).
Row 1 – Knit
Row 2 – Knit to end and increase (21 sts)
Row 3 – Knit
Row 4 – Knit to end and increase (22)
Row 5- Knit
Row 6 - Knit to end and increase (23)
Row 7 – Knit
Row 8 - Knit to end and increase (24)
Row 9 – Knit
Row 10 - Knit to end and increase (25)
Row 11 – Knit
Row 12 - Knit to end and increase (26)
Row 13 - Knit

Does that look about right?

Thank you to anyone that helps.

Gspice, It appears, to simplify it, you need to inc. 1 st. at the end of every right side row. So it would be K a row (ws) then on the right side end with 1 st. inc. repeat those 2 rows till you get to 26(30)sts. That’s how I read it.

Thank you!

I ended up having to pull yarn when I noticed something wasn’t looking right.

Maybe in a couple weeks I’ll have this pattern figured out and simplifiy.

Trying to figure this out with a toddler and a new kitten in the house is about enough to make me pull my hair out. But I want to do these so badly because their so cute.

Gspice, Not to worry. You’ll figure it out. Give an old ball of yarn to the kitten and the toddler and they’ll be busy for quite a while. Just make sure to block any stairways, O.K.?
Jean

LOL! I did the yard ball idea and its a great way to find them when the toddler goes quiet. Yep all stairs are blocked. He’s a great stairs climber but I dont’ trust him unless Daddy or I are with him. So he has full run of the downstairs, sometimes or I just block him in the TV room with me.

Sadly my lil guy tires of one thing fast and hes onto another thing. Or he’s into something.

Once gain thanks for all the help. Knowing me I’ll be back with more questions for this pattern.

Alright another question about another part

SHAPE INSTEP: Work 7 rows stocking st on these 12 (14) sts, beg and ending with a purl row.
Tie a marker at each end of last row for position of ears. Work a further 8 rows stocking st.

So it would look like this for the 7 rows. But do I go down 8 more rows after those 8 to make a total of 15 rows?

Row 1 – Purl
Row 2 – Knit
Row 3 - Purl
Row 4 - Knit
Row 5 - Purl
Row 6 – Knit
