Queen Kahuna Sock Method, Anyone? Now FO!

I was wondering if anyone besides me is working on or has tried knitting socks per the Queen Kahuna 2 toe up socks on 2 circulars method? Here is my progress so far. (Yes, there are heels, but am I too shy to show them yet!)

I haven’t tried it yet, but I would want to do it this way too-then I’d never have to face the dreaded “sss” lol!

And thank you very much, Hilary! Those are my favorite colors. Funny, I had SSS with my first couple of pair of socks, then promptly got over it, since I totally love wearing hand knitted socks. :heart:

I saw that book the other day and was definitely curious! I want to try a “regular” sock first before tackling two at the same time though, especially getting down the heel portion.

Carolyn, your socks look great!! I have knitted socks on circs, but one at a time, and not toe-up. I like the idea of having both socks done at the same time!! :thumbsup:

The yarn is Jawoll Sock Yarn. I “think” I bought it in Tallahassee, Florida. Not all that many stores carry it, but it is nice yarn, especially after it is washed and softens up some.

:blush: Oh, thank you so much, Margie. I am loving the fact that I can just knit and knit until I actually run out of yarn and don’t have to skimp on the cuff length! The book contains a whole lot of “reading”, but it is very intuitive and if you have knit socks before, you can skim parts of it. AND for anyone who has NOT knitted socks before, it is still really easy to “get it” - she does a marvelous job explaining the technique.

And BTW, love the llamas in you avatar, Margie! Are they yours?

Very cool project :happydance: ! I did 2 socks on 2 circulars that are cuff down. I’d love to try the toe up method…no kitchner stitch to do, right?

I also love having both done at the same time!!

That’s right Lynn. No Kitchener! (Even though I am one of those weirdos who actually LIKE to do Kitcherer!) If you have already done 2 socks on 2 circulars, it would be easy for you to do this.

Angelia, I hear you… I had been wanting to try this for a long time. There are still things I want to learn/try, but since I have taken up spinning and dyeing, too, there is just not enough time to do everything I want to do.

I like Kitchener, too! There’s something so wonderfully magical about it! And after the first couple of times, it’s not hard at all! (It’s getting through those first couple of times that’s the tricky bit ;))

No, they aren’t mine- as much as I wish they were!! They belong to my cousin, who lives in Oregon. I should be getting a box sometime soon with llama fleeces from her! :happydance:

I haven’t tried that method yet. Haven’t been brave enough to attempt socks at all yet (soon…soon). But, they look fabulous!! :thumbsup:
