I am working a pattern that is using ssk and k2 tog in one row and then the following row is purl across the entire row. The ssk and k2 tog are throwing me off because I am not sure if I am supposed to go through both parts of the loop or work each part alone. If anyone can help and especially point me to a video tutorial I would greatly appreciate it.
SSK and k2tog are decreases, taking 2 sts to one and you purl just that single st on the next row.
There are videos for k2tog and ssk on the Free Videos tab at the top of this page, under Decreases. You should finish up with just one st on the needle after either decrease and on the purl row you purl that one st. The two loops from either decrease will be on the row below, not on the needle.
