Purl decrease on right front

I’m knitting Rogers-Esque Cardigan. I found the pattern on revelry.
I’m finally at the decrease for the right front. The designer says p2tog. I can’t remember which way that leans.

So I don’t know if I should p2tog or ssp(knit wise or purl wise ss)
Confused, doesn’t even describe my state of mind right now.

My back decreases were done on the right side so I did a k1, ssk…k2tog, k1. Looks fab, if I do say so myself.

I’m trying to have the front decreases mirror the back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A purl decrease really doesn’t show on the purl side, only on the knit side. P2tog leans the same as k2tog. SSP leans the same as ssk on the knit side so you’d do a p2tog at the beginning of the purl row, and ssp at the end.

Thank you that helps.
