Purl 13M, 2A, 28M

Once again, I am stuck halfway through my pattern.

Purl 13M, 2A, 28M.

I know how m1 works but what on earth is Purl 13M and to make matters worse, I have no idea about 2A either?

The next row reads like this:
Inc, k26M, 4A, 11M

Together the two rows will have increased from 31 to 45 stitches.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Do you have a link to the pattern? Maybe it uses more than one color and M is Main color and A is Alternate color?

The pattern is in a book so I can’t link it but I think you’ve just solved my problem.
The pattern has dots in different colours in it so thank you very much. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that!

The 2 and 4 sts in the A color would make the dots then. There’s usually a guide to what the pattern abbreviations mean just before the cast on instructions.
