Can anyone show me where to go to view a video of how to do a provisional cast on using a circular needle? Several months back I thought there was one on Knitting Help.com. Thanks.
You can use the provisional one shown here but use the other circular instead of scrap yarn. Details for that are at Fleegle’s blog, which has a lot of helpful knitting tips if you read through it.
Here’s a link to the knittinghelp video page for provisional cast on. (It’s about 3/4 of the way down the page as Invisible (Provisional) Cast On.) I wasn’t able to master it so I use this techniqueinstead. Of the one’s I’ve tried, this method seems to “unzip” the easiest (and cleanest) when you’re ready to use the stitches.
I use this method usually-

For my sweater I just knit a few rows with scrap yarn first and then cut that off and picked up the the the stitches when I was done.
I highly recommend this video. You crochet the sts right on to the needle. It’s the easiest method I’ve tried.
