So, I’ve started the Jenny Cloche that ArtLady did the other day and my girlfriend at work pulled it out of my knitting bag to look at my progress so far and pulled most of my crochet chain out that I’d done the provisional cast on with. This is my first project using the pco and I was wondering if it would hurt to go ahead and pull the chain out and put those live stitches on a dpn and put some point protectors on each end until I’m ready to do the three needle bind-off. I don’t see why not, but I thought I’d better ask the pros. So far, it’s looking really great. I’m using 2 strands of Cascase Eco+ held together in a pretty lavendar shade. I’m only about 6" along with the band but it’s going really fast.
I’d personally use a stitch holder or an interchangeable set cable with ends on instead of just a dpn, as I’ve never found point protectors that actually stay on, or maybe it’s just that I abuse them too much. (Although if it’s a wide enough DPN, rubber bands are good and I’ve never had one come off yet.) But, yeah, that shouldn’t be any problem at all.
Thanks, Zina.
A waste yarn would make it easy to work with as you finish it.
