I watched the video and it makes sense but when I do it the extra yarn gets wrapped around the needle instead of laying at the bottom. What am I doing wrong?
I would suggest trying this method instead, I’ve had much better luck with it than the one that Amy demonstrates.
I agree. I either do the one Knitqueen suggested or this one.
after you are done knitting how do you unzip the chain. It does not work for me.
You have to pass the yarn that you used at the end of the chain through the loop at the end, and then you can unzip it. At times, probably if I’ve knit through the wrong loop, I’ve had to cut it out, but it’s still better than trying to do the one in the video. :wall:
I often snip rather than unzip
. If you use a contrasting yarn and run into problems with the unzipping, just carefully cut the provisional cast on and gently pull the yarn out to reveal the live stitches.
