If you start a project with a size 10-1/2 needles can you switch to an 11 after doing just a few rows? Its a simple basic prayer shawl. Thanks.
You can certainly switch but you may see a ridge where the rows change. It depends on the pattern stitch.
If you’ve only done a few rows, you might want to start over from the beginning, using the larger size needles. But that’s just me.
I have been known to rip out my projects and start over 3 or 4 times to make them “perfect”.
