I’m knitting Anthony Casalena cowl called “ASTORIA” but I don’t understand this row.
sl1, yo, k1, (psso (yo & k1)
I’m a beginner knitter…could you help me please?

The wording isn’t great on this row but this is what the pattern wants you to do:
slip one, yo, k1, pass slipped stitch over the previous yo&k1.
It’ll take 2sts to do this and you’ll be left with 2 loops for each repeat.
