Problem with mistake well into clapotis pattern

I don’t know where to find help on this. :crying: I am NOT a happy camper. I’m in the decreasing section of my first clapotis, and after weaving in bunch of ends (per some valuable suggestions), I discovered that about two inches down from my current row, there is ONE SECTION that is reversed – probably ONE INCH that is purled instead of knit or vice versa; whatever. NOW what do I do??? Awwww… I just CAN’T be frogging!!! I know I saw a site just the other day that had something about repairing inside the pattern…but of course now I can’t find it.

Once again, help is appreciated.

Very discouraged,

Maureen

There are ways to repair mistakes, but I can’t imagine how you’d do it for an entire inch of knitting. Amy has various ways in the Basic Techniques/more section.

Maybe you could throw in the occasional, well-placed reversed inch and call it a design feature?

This is the page Ingrid mentioned that has fixing mistake videos:

I’m not sure if any would work for your particular situation.

Thanks for the help re the mess-up in my stitches. I may try to fix re Amy’s video. That’s the one I was looking for; I just didn’t dig deep enough. If that doesn’t work, hopefully it will be buried under all the waves of the pattern!
