Problem with Cabled Yoke Baby Sweater

:gah: I been working on this pattern http://www.patons.biz/media/freePatterns/cable_yoke_7b.pdf, and now I’m up to the yoke I’m having a problem.
The instructions say:
YOKE
With right side facing and using 3.25mm Needles, knit across all sts from stitch-holders in foll order - Sleeve, Front, rem Sleeve, then Back (ie. the back will be at beg of first row)… 144 (148-156-156-160) sts.
Note - If this number of sts will not it comfortably on needle, we suggest using a circular needle…
Next row - P4 (16-2-2-18), inc in next st, * P4 (2-4-4-2), inc in next st, rep from * to last 4 (17-3-3-18) sts, P4 (17-3-3-18) … 172 (187-187-187-202) sts.
Beg patt -1st row - P7, * K8, P7, rep from * to end.

I had 156 sts, increased as told, yet ended up with 195 sts. I only noticed this as I ended on a K8. Is there a problem with the pattern, or have I stuffed up somewhere and not realised. The instructions I’ve been following are the third set, I’ve put them in bold.

Given that you increase on every 5th st, that would be about 31 increases so you should have 187. At first I misread and figured you should increase every 4 sts, which would be 38 sts increased or 195. Is that what you did? It says “* P4 (2-4-4-2), inc in next st…” So it means p4, then pfb in the next st, or do M 1 between st 5 and 6.

Yay! :woot: Thank you Suzeeq! I went P4 M1. Now I know how to fix this. WooHoo :woot:
