I have a problem knitting with 2 strands held together. I knit with my left hand, and hold the yarn wrapped around my pinky then around my index finger. This creates twisting and tangling of the yarns, which makes the knitted piece look imperfect and I don’t like it. Is there anything I can do to keep the yarns from tangling? Thanks

well i am not sure what the imperfection looks like in this case and not really sure of any certain way to help with this. i hold my yarn the same way. however, i have seen in Hobby Lobby yarn “guides” that you put on your finger and the yarn slips through. not really sure if those will help or not though.
One of the things that I do is put my two balls of yarn apart from each other, so they make a V coming to my hand (hope that makes sense) They tend to tangle less in my work and in my knitting box as well. HTH!
