My pattern is from a magazine -discontinued. It’s a sweater instructions refer to 3 sizes I’m clear on this in brackets. Instruction I’m stuck on is “with right side facing rejoin yarn to sts left on spare needle and pattern to end.
Pattern another 78 (82) (86) (26) (28)” rows. I am completing the 82 rows but I’m confused about the 26 and 28 as these are round brackets not square and instructions don’t refer to how this should be knitted as throughout only 3 sizes are referred to.

Hmm, that is strange. I would tend to ignore the (26) (28) if the 82 rows give you the measurement in inches that you need. Still it is curious.
What is the name of the pattern? There may be some explanation in Ravelry projects or online errata.
