It’s for a co-worker’s upcoming soon to be born ‘baby.’ She doesn’t know the sex of the baby-- so, I bought some yarn that I thought would work for either gender…
And… here it is being ‘modeled by my Kleenix’ box… well, at least it is a pretty HOLIDAY DESIGN! :roflhard:

Thanks so much! The yarn is soft… but, I found 4 knots in it!! Grr… I just untied them and felted the joins together… so, I wouldn’t have any ‘ends to weave’ in… especially since it would have been 4 ENDS TO WEAVE in… 
What a lovely hat! That’s a great colour choice since they don’t know the gender. I just love those colours.
I can sympathize with the knots. I find my yarn is riddled with knots- they try to find me! I learned a felted join very early on.

Yes, very soft and seems like it would felt in about 5 minutes! I’ll have to include a DO NOT WASH IN HOT WATER or use the DRYER label w/ my gift!
It’s yarn imported from Japan… I don’t remember the brand name- I just know it’s a merino wool and is 100% wool.
Not a color that I’d wear- but, I think it will be so cute on a baby. I might add some ‘ear flaps?’
