My bf is a gamer and our anniversary is coming up and I need to find a pattern to make something for him. It would need to be beginner so that makes it a little difficult :-\ But if any of yall could help that would be great. 
Well, if you know how to do socks, there’s a cool pattern for an old video/computer game that he might think is spiffy.

If he plays pencil-and-paper games, you could go with a dice bag, maybe? If he plays medieval-setting games (like D&D), I could think of some things, especially accessory-wise. :think: I have seen a chart for runic letters. They were designed for fair-isle, but you could do them in a stockinette and purl pattern stitch. A runic scarf?

I would go w/ the sock idea if I had experience w/ socks and also if he didnt have such big feet! lol. I’m pretty sure that he also is pretty exclusively a video gamer so D&D is out. :-\ I have a feeling I’ll probably end up giving him the DS case that is a nintendo controller as a belated present b/c my mom was going to help me make it for myself and he saw pictures of it when I sent them to a friend. lol. I’m sure you could shrink it down and knit it intarsia style! If its a computer gamer you are knitting for, why not a nintendo intarsia wrist rest?? you could fill it with split peas or lentils.

or maybe sew one of those “U” shaped neck pillows and then knit a cover for it for the hours of endless gaming. or just simply knit your self a sweater that reads “gaming widow” or knit a “replacement” him

lol. how did you know that games take him away from me!? lol. its like you know him! I decided to make the nintendo controller case b/c my mom knows how to needlepoint and said she’ll help me. thanks for the suggestions!
