Prayer Shawl Pattern

I found this pattern today while window shopping!

Pretty!!

CAUTION !!!
I read through the pattern and thought it seemed a little odd, so I started a pattern swatch. I found the mistakes starting in row 3. It seems somebody had written the pattern to be easy when turning… that is, instead of charted instructions, merely knit as you read. However, row 3 wants you to PURL the cables from the front. If you do this, you will break the pattern. You must go through the pattern and change all T4B to C4B, and all T4F to C4F. The only time you PURL a cable is from the WS, but this pattern begins with all odd-number rows as the RS. I hope this note caught you before you got past row 2.
KNIT ON !!

Never mind, they corrected the instructions.
I had copied it a while ago, recognized it, and looked in my files instead of checking the instructions on the site…
color me doofus.
Anyway, I’m making a shrug in angora fingering for my mom, and I thought that this cabling pattern would look nice from wrist to wrist.

Thanks for the heads-up! Guess I’d better check and see if what I have printed is the same as the corrected instructions.

Trucker, it was probably a “doofus” like you who originally caught the mistakes and notified the website. We less experienced knitters like myself appreciate the “doofus’s” of the world.

Oh, and that is a beautiful blanket. What an awesome baby gift that would make!
