Possible dumb question

I am just about finished knitting 7 PAIRS OF SOCKS for gifts. Should I wash them before giving? Cold water, dry on low?

Probably not a bad idea, but make sure the yarn is machine wash and dry. I also suggest using a lingerie bag so they don’t get caught on anything or beat up. I think I’d probably put them on sock blockers or lay them out so they would look ‘pretty’ for gifts, but tell the recipients that they can be machine washed and dried.

Great advice Jan. A lot depends on what kind of yarn they’re made from. Would be a shame to felt your socks.

7 pairs of socks!! Wow, go with Jan’s advice. I hope the recipients like them.
