I made these last holiday season for my friends in their college school colors. I think I made a set of 4 each - they went over REALLY well with requests for more. Have fun!
How dirty do they get? I’m thinking about making them, but I work with horses a lot and find that my hands seem dirty all the time. I can wash my hands every ten minutes, but I always seem to be touching something that leaves dirt.
I know this sounds gross. I’m sorry, I may just be having one of those moments where things aren’t clean enough, if you know what I mean.
Yes, I’m a dork. Anyway, do they stay clean or would I be throwing them in the wash after each use?
I don’t know how dirty they get as I gave them all away! They do knit pretty quickly so you could make a few of them… 
Yeah, I think I’m going to. I just am being silly about the dirt thing. I mean, if it gets dirty I can just toss it in the laundry. I’m such a dork. Hmmm and my secret exchange pal sent me a bunch of yarn that would work for that too. Hmmm. I see can cozies in my future, lots of them.
Just something I noticed… the above version of the can cozy doesn’t have a bottom, but I did find a pattern that has a bottom. The reason I mention this is because I found that the can will slide out of the cozy sometimes. And, I guess you’ve noticed that I’m a bit of a clean freak, so spilled drinks really bug me. Please don’t think I’m stepping on toes, I just thought that a bottom would be nice.
This is my first cozy. I finished it in less than 2 hours. I think it is a little short, I wish I had gone a little taller with it. This was also my first time working with dpns.
I knitted one a while back but when I cast off the top was WAY too tight so it fit better on a beer bottle instead of the can. The one with the bottom looks so cool. I’ll have to knit one of those. I am in dire need of a project.
