Working on the back of the Yarnspirations Lace Panel knit poncho. I want to clarify the 1st Row directions K59. P2. (K1. yo. K1). P2. K2tog. yo. (K2tog) 3 times. There’s more that follows to finish the row but my question is do I K2tog 3 times? Just that particular parentheses not the whole row…. Right? Why am I always second guessing myself?

Second guessing is good. It just means you’re thinking about alternative interpretations. But you’re correct that the 3 times refers only to the (k2tog) not the whole row.
Thank you again for your quick rescue! You are the best
Question-in Row 3 it states a direction to K3psso. I’m questioning the method, knitting 3 stitches and then pass the stitch and knit another one and then pass it over?
Knit 3 sts onto the right hand needle. Pass the 3rd stitch on the right hand needle over the first 2 and off the needle.
The stitch nearest the end of the right hand needle is called stitch one, the next is stitch 2 so that the next stitch is the 3rd stitch. That’s the one to pass over stitches 1 and 2. There’ll be a decrease of one stitch each time you work the k3psso.
I’ve taken out these 4 rows twice so far. I am on the 4th town of the Yarnspirations Poncho and I see that it should have 152 sts. I’ve counted my sts and from the row before there are 152 sts. Happy about that. But row 4 ( to complete the pattern does not add up to 152 sts)! Can’t figure it out? It only adds up to 150sts?!?! I definitely wasn’t to finish this and have been avoiding this since it is causing so much grief.
When this happens to me, I go back over the row placing markers between sections. You could place markers after 61sts, mark off the center 22sts and before the next 61sts. Then it’s a bit easier to see where the missing sts might be.
Make sure that when you work the k3psso you’re starting with 3sts and ending with 2sts. You only decrease 1stitch each time. If you had 152 after row 3 that should be ok.
Thank you
