Hey everyone. I’ve been knitting for several months now (I learned from this site, actually, or I wouldn’t know how to knit at all) and I’ve yet to post any of my projects. Why? Fear, plain and simple. See, I’m fairly new to knitting, and it’s a bit intimidating to be watching all the beautiful socks and fancy sweaters that you all knit. Until now, I have been afraid to post my own projects, because I know they pale in comparison.
But I’ve decided to be brave and basically just get over it. So here, I’m posting some of my recent projects.
This is a big moment for me! lol
This was a free poncho pattern from Lion Brand, made with Trellis yarn in Stained glass. It makes me feel really glamorous, and it’s so fun to wear on a rainy, dreary day like today.

This next one was actually my first knitting project ever, and I love it. It’s an Irish Hiking Scarf, Limelight from Caron Simply Soft Brites.
And a little bit of close up:
This is the project I’m working on right now. It’s a free pattern on Lionbrand’s website, the Cable Comfort Throw. I’ve only got two of the five panels so far. Instead of using their Wool-ease Thick ‘n’ Quick, I am using double strands of their regular worsted weight Wool Ease, in Fisherman.
Please share your thoughts, but be gentle!
The wrap is gorgeous and it is indeed very glamorous and cheery and I just adore the scarves.

your Irish hiking scarf! The cables are awesome and the color is perfect. Very cool first project.
