Good day! I need help with this pattern I just started. I’m new in knitting. I’m making this cabled hat. The pattern says; cast 56 sts. I’m confused after ribbing 4x more. Nxt rnd; K1. Inc 1 st in next st. Rep from around. 84 sts. How to do this after ribbing. Thanks for your help.
It doesn’t matter what you did on the previous rows. After the ribbing row just k1, kfb, k1, kfb, etc… kfb is an increase done in the stitch which is what you’r pattern is telling you.
The only part of importance in this video is the KFB.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Hi! Everyone pls help me with this new pattern I’m starting. It says Right Front Cross (RFC) worked over 3 stiches.o
This should be defined at the beginning of the instructions or at the end. It’s usually a right front cross. Hold one stitch to the back on a cable needle, knit the next 2sts, then knit the stitch from the cable needle.
What pattern are you making?
It’s called Chunky Dean Street Hat. I did the ribbed brim, P1K1 across row. Until 1.5 inches. Then for the body I did p1k3 for 2 rows then the 3rd row is p1, RFC over next 3 sts then repeat
Top right of the first page explains the RFC.
Bottom of the pattern has a picture tutorial for it.
