Please tell me i'm not the only one who's done this

i just spent 8 minutes tinking a row of mmmmalabrigo, only to realize that the row i thought i had knit completely wrong was actually completely right!

hey, the way i’m looking at it, i get to knit another row of the good stuff! :teehee:

Believe me, you’re NOT the only one who’s done that!

You are NOT the only one who has done this.

Feel better now?

Sooo not the only one. I have done that a few times.

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

What?!?! I’ve never done anything like that!

Lotsa times. Sometimes you’ve got to back to make sure you’ve done it right.

Um yes, been there on too many occasions…:aww:

Yep, you’re the only one who’s done that, except for me and just about everyone else, it’s you.

Just on about every project. I get brain farts that make the whole thing look wrong or I space out where I am in the pattern.

Must be catching. I did the exact same thing yesterday afternoon. I really need to concentrate!

Oh yeah. I do that at least once every time I’m knitting lace – always convince myself I just worked the wrong row, but then nope, that was the right one all along.

Ohhhhh, darlink! You are not the only one. I have frogged and tinked and frogged and tinked only to realize that if I had JUST READ the pattern more carefully, I would realize that it was all correct in the first place. I have a horrible habit of not paying attention or being careful enough when I’m reading patterns. Sometimes, I actually end up doing it right–those are usually the times that I frog it because I’m convinced I’ve screwed up somewhere. :wall:

many many times I’ve done that.

Okay I am really new to knitting…what is “tink”?

Tink is knit backwards. Basically it’s just frogging (un-knitting) one or a few stitches.

AH! That makes sense.

Ha! I frogged the entire thing this week! It was only 24 stitches and about 5 or 7 rows…but it was cabled! I just cannot tink cables! I was doing a row and got to the end of it and looked and I didn’t have enough stitches so I tore it out. Then I realized that I read the wrong row after the parentheses. Argh!

Kelly

Ugh, I have frogged major parts of projects only to realize that I was right the first time. Getting my money out of that yarn!

Well, I feel better now!
