Please, I need help understanding this pattern

I am trying to knit a sweater for my shi tzu and I was hoping to finish while the snow is still here… This pattern has me baffled though…

I am up to where I start the leg holes…

Leg Openings: 1st row: K11. Bind off next 10 sts. K80 (including st on needle after bind off). Bind off next 10 sts. Knit to end of row. (I got up to here) But now…

Note: All Leg Sections are worked at the same time using a separate ball of yarn for each section.

Beg on a WS row, work 2.5" in stocking st from bound off sts, ending with RS facing for next row. ??? Am I suppose to just continue stocking st right across (which would close my bound off stitches?)

Joining row: K11. Turn and cast on 10 sts. Turn and knit 80. Turn and cast on 10 sts. Turn and knit to end of row. 122 sts. When it says TURN does that mean I would cast on purl stitches?

Cont even until work after neck ribbing measures 10", ending with RS facing for next row. Place a marker at each end of last row. etc…

And this is suppose to be an easy pattern…

Note: All Leg Sections are worked at the same time using a separate ball of yarn for each section.

This is the key to how to handle the leg holes.

You work each section between the bind offs with it’s own strand of yarn (or one at a time) for 2 1/2 inches. The final row you’ll work in each section will be a purl row.

I think the pattern says to turn to cast on the stitches so you’ll cast them on to the needle you’re working yarn is on.

So knit 11, cast 10 onto that needle, knit 80, etc.

Thank you so much Ingrid! I now understand.

This is a wonderful website to be able to come on here and get help. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just might be able to finish this!
