Fabby

is in chinese and it meant there are 9 flower motifs and each flower is 8 make of 8 sts and consist of 8 rows

Fabby…

did you get this from a website? if so there should be abbreviation on what each symbol means… show me the website and i will try to help you …

Let’s try this–according to my Stitch and Motif maker program:

The symbol circled in red means p2tog

Dark blue–the loop with the line under it means twisted rev st st

Purple–k through back loop

Green–yo

/ – k2tog

\ – ssk

_ – k on right side purl on ws

l – p on right side knit on ws

I don’t know if they’re the same, but that’s what the chart shows for these symbols.

OHH!! THANK YOU!!

A lot of wonderful ladies trying to help me is an excelent way to begin the day, knowing there is people with a big heart in the world.

I will do what you are telling me and I will tell you if I get it.

In the page where I found it there is only this picture posted and nothing more than photos of sweaters.

:o) THANK YOU again!! :notworthy: :muah:

Hello!

I have a problem again.

The chart start with 24 stitch casted on the needle as example.
Then, If the red one means “P2Together” it was a decrease, so in the first row we have 3 decreases.
If the \ means ssk we have a decrease too, so \ \ means 2 ssk, so in the first row we have 6 decreases more.
If the green one means yarn over we have 1 increase, so in the first row we have 3 increases.

So, we won´t finish the first row with 24 stitches of the begining, because we have 9 decreases and only 3 increases, but in the second row you can note it is suposed we have 24 stiches still.

 Where is the wrong thing? I can´t find it. :verysad:

When I was looking at the chart, I was concerned about that, too. I assumed that there was more to the chart than I could see and that there’d be more increases.

It is very possible that the symbols on the chart are not the same as the ones on my softwear.

www.knittingfool.com is a good source for symbols and abbreviations. I can’t look at it here from work, but you might want to take a look.

I think the finished piece is beautiful. Can you list the link for the site you found this. Much thanks.

This is a Japanese knitting site.
