I am doing the Children’s neckdown Bolero from Knitting Pure and Simple. Funny thing is that I have made this before, but I can’t remember what I did in this particular spot…
Okay I have divided for the sleeves already, they are on waste yarn
You are now working on the body sts only. Continue to work in stockinette st, decreasing 2nd and 3rd st, and 2nd and 3rd from the end of the row, until work measures 11 1/2 inches.
Here is my question…furthur up in the pattern they decreased as follows:
K1, K 2tog, K to within 1 st of marrker, inc, slip marrker, inc, repeat at each marker, k until 3 sts are left on needle, ssk, K1
Next row: Purl
So my question is, do I decrease every row or only on the knit rows? If I do decrease every row do I do a varriation of ssk on the purl side or just purl 2 tog? And what is the equivalent of ssk on a purl row?
Thanks for any help.
Ginny
