Please help me with baby sweater pattern inc. question?

:?:

I’m working on a baby sweater pattern (the sleeves). I’m following this pattern repeating rows 1-4. Row 3 says k1, m1, k11, p3, C4B, C4F, p3, k11, m1, k1. This makes sence to me but next paragraph it says exactly: Keeping a continuity of pattern as a set (throughout) inc. 1 st at each end of 3rd and every following 4th row to 64 st, working inc. in st-st. My main question is Do I need to m1 and inc 1 at the end of every 3rd row. In the 4th row it doesn’t say to m1, but I would need to inc 1 at each end of every 4th row. This is so confusing. Does anyone know what I need to do?

Thanks in advance for your help!

:?: :!: so in other words do I need to inc 2 at each end of row 3 to make a total of 4 stitches in row 3. and just a total of 2 stitches increased in row 4.

this is stressful

Hm… I think what’s going on is that you increase as directed for row 3, then every following 4th.

What that second paragraph looks like it’s doing is recapping what you’ve just knit for row 3 (“1 st at each end of 3rd”) then giving instructions for what’s to follow (every next 4th row). So, on that third row, you will have added 2 stitches. Every following 4th row, you will add 2 stitcehs. Go until the listed number of stitches.

So:
R1 - knit as directed
R2 - knit as directed
R3 - increase 2 stitches, one at each edge, as directed
R4 - knit as directed
R5 - knit as directed
R6 - knit as directed
R7 - increase 2 stitches, on at each edge, as directed
Repeat Rs 4-7 until destired number of stitches.

thank you I will try that!!

:? On that 3rd row or 4th row would you increase at the very end ( the 1st stitch) or should I k1 m1 (bar inc.)?

thank you for your time

it will be a miracle if I finish this project :!:
