work rows 1-12 of the cable pattern one time
Next round:*K2,m1 repeat from * to the end of round
Work rows 2-12 of the cable pattern one time, then work rows 1-6 one time.

If its the next line with he M1… An M1 is an increase which will give your beret it’s shape. There are several M1 increases. M1A, M1T, M1R or M1L should all work fine. Just be consistent and use the same one. http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/increases
I need help understanding the pattern. When it states " work rows 1-12 of the cable pattern one time" does that mean to repeat pattern 1-12 once again? I’m still learning how to read pattern and I get confused. I really do appreciate your help.

Do the 12 rows of the cable pattern once. Then do the increase row instead of row row 1, and after that, rows 2-12 of the cable pattern once, then only rows 1-6 once. that’s 30 rows total.
