Hi! I’m having a problem that crops up from time to time—when I’m doing rows of garter stitch. I find a stitch that looks like 2 stitches crossed over one another. What is that and what did I do to get it? Thanks!
Please help me figure out what I'm doing
The only thing I can think of, is that on the previous row as you knitted the stitch, you didn’t move the loop of the stitch over the needle properly, so that on the next row, you still had both loops on the needle.
i.e. the new stitch that you made, plus the stitch that you should have looped over.
I hope you can understand what I mean, even after knitting for 40 years I can’t always explain what I mean !
It might also be a twisted stitch. Thisis when the stitch gets sorta turned upside down.
