Please Help, Baby Doll Pattern

I have no idea how to handle this. I’m a fairly new knitter and I can’t find anything on by Google or YouTube to help me.

It should start with 29 stitches. I don’t understand what happens when I turn but haven’t dealt with the last 20 stitches etc. Just can’t figure it out.

I’d appreciate any help you guys can offer.

Continue in stocking stitch, commencing with a
knit row, for a further 8 rows
19th row: k9, turn and cont on these 9sts for left
front
20th row: p2tog, purl to end of row
21st row: knit
22nd to 25th rows: repeat 20th & 21st rows twice(6sts)
26th row: purl
Cast off

Place next 11sts onto a stitch holder
Join yarn to remaining 9sts for right front
19th row: knit
20th row: purl to last 2sts, p2tog
21st row: knit
22nd to 25th rows: repeat 20th & 21st rows twice(6sts)
26th row: purl
Cast off

Welcome!
On row 19, knit 9 and turn as if you were at the end of the row. Don’t worry about the last 20sts. You’ll work with them in the second section that you quote.
You’re going to work one section, the left front, then when that section is finished, put the center 11sts on a holder and work on the right front.

Could I go ahead and put the stitches on stitch holders to make it a little easier? I’m such a spam sometimes.

Thank you for your help. I think I have finally visualized what is “supposed” to happen here. Ha!

Oh sure, the other 20 sts can go on a stitch holder or scrap yarn until you’re ready for them. Enjoy finishing this part. We’d love to see the finished project, too.
