Please help a newbie :-)

Please help, im fairly new to knitting and completely new to the forums so hopefully iv done everything right. Im knitting my first matinee jacket and iv got to a part in the pattern which im unsure about. I dont understand how many rows its telling me to PFB on the left sleeve sts. Could someone please kindly interpret the part of the pattern iv copied below. Its driving me mad. TIA xxx

Divide for sleeve: K21(23, 25)sts left front, and place on a holder, K25 (27, 29)sts left sleeve and leave on needle.
***Turn, purl into front and back of first st, purl to last st, purl into front and back of last st. 27(29, 31)sts. Work back and forth on these left sleeve sts only in the following pattern: Rows 1 ‐2 Knit

Hi and welcome to KH. Can you please link to your pattern? I can’t figure it out with all the * * that are included. Someone else probably can, a link would still be helpful.

Sorry about that, dont know why it came out with all the stars. I have edited my post but still Il look for a link now.
Thank you for replying

Thank you for the edit. This part “Work back and forth on these left sleeve sts only in the following pattern: Rows 1 ‐2 Knit” doesn’t seem quite right to me. What is the name of the pattern and where is it from?

This the only one i can find cuz it comes up in a pdf document with no direct link. It should be on the left hand side Labeled “baby matinee” Should be the first pattern in “baby” xx

Hi! So you’re asking how many times to do the purl front and back stitch? If that’s your question, it wants you to do it once on the first stitch, then purl all the way to the last stitch and do it again to the last stitch. It’s adding two stitches and then you just follow each line of instructions from there on…Hope this is what you wanted! Cute jacket!

Thank u for your reply i wanted to know how.many rows it wants me to do the pfb st for and do i do it for each rs and ws row xx

This it? Very cute.

It seems you do the increase row one time. The following rows are to knit the rest of the sleeve. Just follow the pattern as written and it should be just fine. HTH

Thank u ever so much, i really appreciate it xx
