Placing a pocket

Hi I’m hoping someone can help me out my pattern says

Next row- k19 with right side facing knit across a set of pocket lining sts, slip next 30 sts in to stitch holder and leave for pocket top k it to end.

Should the right side be facing me??

Do I put the stitches onto my needles from the holder??

What stitches do I put onto a stitch holder, ie the stitches I’ve just knitted into from the pocket lining??

Thanks

Yes, the right side, or public side of the knitting should be facing you.
You can knit the pocket lining sts directly from the holder (depending on the kind of holder you’re using) onto the right needle or you can slip them onto a spare needle and then knit them onto the right needle. If the lining sts are in stockinette, you want the V or knit side of the stockinette facing you as you do this.
Slip the next 30sts onto a holder. These are the sts that are sitting at the tip of the left needle waiting to be knit next. They are going to form the outside of the pocket.
Once you’ve finished the row, you should have the same number of sts on the working needle as at the beginning of the row. You’ve just switched the 30sts that were on the holder (the lining) with 30sts that were on the needles (the outer side of the pocket).
This all works very neatly and should look right once you worked a few more rows.
