Picking up stitches

HI -

I am working a sweater pattern using squares. It is additive - so I finish one square and then pick up stitches to start the next square. picking up on the cast on/bind off edge. What is the recommendation in terms of method…picking up the back of the knit stitch or through it?

You should try to pick up through 2 strands. Did you take a look at the video for picking up sts?
