I’m working on making a plush fish, and it’s time to work on the fins. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but after I pick up the stitches and start working, the wrong side is always on the outside. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?
Here are the instructions:
Using CC1 yarn, pick up 15 stitches along the midline of the back near the tail fin. When picking up these stitches, begin at
the tail region and continue along the midline of the back towards the head region. Turn the work, and, using a new needle,
pick up another 15 stitches directly behind the first 15 stitches. Use Figure 3 as a guide to the placement of these stitches.
Join these 30 stitches into a round, and proceed:
Round 1: *[K1, P1] 7 times, K1, repeat from * to end of round.
Round 2: SSK, [K1, P1] 6 times, K2, [P1, K1] 6 times, K2tog. (28 stitches)
Round 3: SSK, [P1, K1] 6 times, [K1, P1] 6 times, K2tog. (26 stitches)
Round 4: SSK, [K1, P1] 5 times, K2, [P1, K1] 5 times, K2tog. (24 stitches)
Round 5: SSK, [P1, K1] 5 times, [K1, P1] 5 times, K2tog. (22 stitches)
Round 6: SSK, [K1, P1] 3 times, K1, K2tog, SSK, K1, [P1, K1] 3 times, K2tog. (18 stitches)
Thanks in advance!
