Picking up stitches - Sweater Pattern - Norah Gaughan's Strawberry Hill

hi -

Could you recommend a good video or web page for learning how to pick up stiches from the sides? I am making a sweater from a pattern by Norah Gaughan called strawberry hill – and it is essentially interlocking panels. I do not want to screw it up.

There’s a good video of picking up stitches under the Free Videos tab at the top of this page, Tips, Picking up stitches. Very clear demo of the technique.

Even though the video here picks up on a bound off edge, it’s the same for the side edges. Just insert the R needle through 2 strands of the edge st, wrap the yarn and pull it through.
