Picking up a dropped stitch

This stitch is on my entrelac afghan on the base row of triangles. I did not discover it until several rows along - about 5 rectangle rows. I put in a paper clip to hold it until i figure out what to do.

Any suggestions? :shrug: I thought of just using a bit of thread and needle and fastening it in.

That’s what I would do. Bring it up to the edge as much as you can with a crochet hook if that’s practical, and then secure it.
